A study on the status of immunization program vaccination of children with different gestational ages in Lu′an City
Abstract
Abstract
This study investigates the immunization status of children born at different gestational ages in Lu’an City, aiming to identify vaccination coverage and potential disparities. Using data collected from immunization records and health surveys, children were categorized based on their gestational age (preterm, term, and post-term). The study analyzed vaccination rates for key immunization program vaccines and examined factors influencing timely and complete vaccination. Results show that children born preterm have lower vaccination coverage and delays compared to term and post-term peers. Socioeconomic factors, parental awareness, and healthcare access were significant determinants of vaccination status. The study highlights the need for targeted interventions to ensure equitable immunization coverage among children of varying gestational ages, supporting improved health outcomes and disease prevention in Lu’an City.
