Abstract
This study examines the impact of non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs), such as social distancing, mask-wearing, and hygiene measures, on the incidence of notifiable infectious diseases among children aged 0-14. Utilizing surveillance data before and after the implementation of NPIs, the research analyzes trends in disease incidence across multiple respiratory and gastrointestinal infections. Findings reveal a significant decline in the incidence of several notifiable infectious diseases coinciding with the adoption of NPIs. The study highlights the effectiveness of these interventions in reducing transmission among children, suggesting that NPIs play a critical role in infectious disease control beyond pandemic contexts. These insights inform public health strategies aimed at protecting pediatric populations through behavioral and environmental measures.
