Analysis of monitoring results of swimming pool water quality in a district of Guangzhou City from 2020 to 2022
Abstract
Abstract
This study analyzes the monitoring results of swimming pool water quality in a district of Guangzhou City from 2020 to 2022 to evaluate compliance with health and safety standards. Water samples from multiple public swimming pools were regularly tested for key indicators including microbial contamination, chemical parameters, and physical characteristics. The results indicate that while most swimming pools met national water quality standards, occasional exceedances of microbial counts and chlorine levels were observed, posing potential health risks. Seasonal variations and pool usage patterns influenced water quality fluctuations. The study underscores the importance of continuous monitoring, strict adherence to disinfection protocols, and timely maintenance to ensure safe recreational water environments. Recommendations for improving water quality management in local swimming facilities are proposed to protect public health.
