Abstract

Abstract
This study evaluates the effectiveness of antiviral treatment for HIV/AIDS and examines the drug resistance profiles among patients experiencing treatment failure in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Clinical and virological data from patients undergoing antiretroviral therapy (ART) were collected and analyzed to assess treatment outcomes and identify resistance mutations. Results indicate that while the majority of patients achieve viral suppression, a subset exhibits treatment failure associated with the emergence of drug-resistant HIV strains. The prevalence of resistance mutations to commonly used antiretroviral drugs was documented, highlighting challenges in maintaining long-term treatment efficacy. The study emphasizes the need for routine resistance monitoring and individualized treatment regimens to optimize therapeutic outcomes and curb the spread of resistant HIV variants in the region.
