Abstract
Abstract
This study analyzes the results of myopia screening among primary school students in a city in Hebei Province from 2020 to 2021. A large-scale vision screening program was conducted to assess the prevalence and severity of myopia in children aged 6 to 12 years. The data indicate a rising trend in myopia rates, with a higher prevalence observed in older students and females. Risk factors such as prolonged near work, insufficient outdoor activity, and family history were identified through questionnaires. The study highlights the urgent need for preventive strategies including vision health education, outdoor activity promotion, and regular eye examinations to curb the increasing burden of myopia among primary school children in the region.
